White Christmas cast revealed for Liverpool Empire festive run

Jay McGuinness, Lorna Luft and Liverpool’s own Michael Starke will star in White Christmas at the Liverpool Empire this festive season.

The show is set to run at the Lime Street theatre from December 6-31.

Strictly winner – and member of The Wanted - McGuiness will play Bob Wallace (the role made famous by Bing Crosby in the 1954 film on which the show is based), while acclaimed actress and singer Luft who is the younger daughter of the legendary Judy Garland will appear as Martha Watson the housekeeper at The Columbia Inn where the show’s action unfolds.

Michael Starke plays the inn’s owner General Waverly, and Dan Burton, Jessica Daley and Monique Young will appear as Phil Davis and Betty and Judy Haynes respectively – returning to roles they also played in previous incarnations of the show.

Join veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as, fuelled by love, the all singing, all dancing duo follow the stunning Haynes Sisters, Betty and Judy, to a Vermont lodge for a special Christmas show.

Their journey takes a misstep, and their rhythm is thrown off when they discover the lodge happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's old Army General and is in desperate need of their help.

The musical includes the numbers Snow, Count Your Blessings, Sisters, Blue Skies, I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm and Happy Holiday as well as the famous title song.
