British skating legends Jane Torvill and Christopher Dean are set to embark on their last live tour together – with two dates in Liverpool.

The pair, who famously won Olympic gold with their Bolero routine in Sarajevo on Valentine’s Day 1984, will come to the M&S Bank Arena on May 8-9.

Tickets cost from £42.30 to £112 and are on sale now.

Liverpool is the penultimate venue on the Our Last Dance tour which opens in London in April and marks their retirement from skating together after half a century.

The pair will be joined on the ice at the King's Dock by professional Dancing on Ice 2025 finalists Annette Dytrt and Mark Hanretty and semi-finalist Vanessa James. Previous Dancing on Ice winners Vanessa Bauer and Alexandra Schauman also join the tour.

Other pro skaters participating include Dancing on Ice favourites Andy Buchanan, Robin Johnstone, Sylvain Longchambon, Eric Radford, Lukasz Rozycki, and Dan Whiston.

And the tour will also see Beijing Olympics 2022 Japanese husband and wife duo figure skating silver medalists Tim Koleto & Misato Komatsubara. Plus USA’s bronze medal winning figure skater Mirai Nagasu and USA/French figure skater Philip Warren.

Last year Torvill and Dean returned to Sarajevo to celebrate their iconic Winter Olympics win 40 years ago which was watched on television by 24 million people in the UK alone. They previously also celebrated the 30th anniversary in the Bosnian capital.

Speaking about the farewell tour, the skating duo said: “While we will continue to work together off the ice, this will be the final time we will skate together following our 50-year partnership.

“But not without celebrating one final time with all of our incredible fans across the UK, who have supported us constantly over many years. We promise to put on an amazing live show.”

The pair were teenage skaters when they were brought together in a partnership by Nottingham skating coach Janet Sawbridge in 1975. Their first win was in 1976.

In the early days they retained their day jobs as an insurance clerk and policeman respectively.

From 1979, their coach was Betty Callaway who oversaw a run of gold medal successes in the British and World Championships and in the 1984 Winter Olympics in the former Yugoslavia. They worked on their successful routine with actor Michael Crawford.

They turned professional after the 1984 win, although they did return as amateurs to the 1994 Winter Olympics at Lillehammer where they came third. After that they retired from professional skating.

In 2006 they became coaches and choreographers on ITV’s Dancing on Ice competition.
