The Fast Show reveals Liverpool date on 30th anniversary reunion tour

Seminal 90s comedy sketch series The Fast Show is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a new UK tour which is coming to Liverpool this spring.

Charlie Higson and Paul Whitehouse will reunite to appear in An Evening With the Fast Show at the Philharmonic Hall on April 1.

They will be joined by fellow former Fast Show regulars Simon Day, John Thomson, Arabella Weir and Mark Williams for the 13-date tour.

Tickets, costing £31-£41, go on general sale tomorrow at 10am.

Together the actors promise to provide a real behind-the-scenes insight into some of their favourite characters and catchphrases as they come alive on stage once again.

The cast will chat about how it all began, the making of the TV show, the creation of its characters and the fun they had doing it - interspersed with performances of some of their best-loved sketches monologues and songs, with on-screen inserts and a moment to remember their former collaborator, the late Caroline Aherne.

Fans will get to see some of their favourite characters including Ted and Ralph, Jesse, Swiss Toni, Does My Bum Look Big In This?, Dave Angel, Jazz Club, The Suit You Tailors, Ron Manager, The Mad Painter, Rowley Birkin, Bob Fleming, Competitive Dad, Professor Denzil Dexter, and The Girl Who Boys Can’t Hear.

The multi award-winning The Fast Show, the brainchild of Higson and Whitehouse who had previously worked extensively with Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, ran over four series on the BBC from 1994 to 1997.

An Evening With the Fast Show is at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on April 1. Tickets HERE
