Strictly celebs revealed for Liverpool arena live dates


Strictly Come Dancing has announced the seven celebrities and their professional partners who are set to take part in the 2022 arena tour – including three shows in Liverpool.

Glitterball winners Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, and the all-male partnership of John Whaite and Johannes Radebe who were runners up in the most recent series, are among the line-up.

It also includes Max George and Katya Jones, Tilly Ramsey and Nikita Kuzmin, Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec and Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Wu.

But A J Odudu (pictured third left, above) has had to pull out of the live tour on medical advice after being injured in finals week last month. Her place will be filled by Maisie Smit,h who will dance with professional Kai Widdrington.

The live tour comes to the M&S Bank Arena on February 3-4.

Janette Manrara has been announced as the host, and Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli will be behind the judging desk.

EastEnders’ actress Ayling-Ellis says: “I’ve loved every minute of my Strictly journey so far, so to be able to continue it on the live tour next year is so exciting. I can't wait to perform live in front of all the fans who have supported me through this incredible series.”

And John Whaite adds: “I’m so excited to continue this sparkling journey with Johannes on the Strictly tour. More sheer tops, more spray tans and more tight trousers? Yes please!”

The seven competing couples will be joined by professional dancers Amy Dowden, Neil Jones, Jake Leigh, Cameron Lombard, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal on the 33-date UK tour which also features a live band and singers.
