RLPO joins Eurovision fun with Douze Points!

Eurovision fever is set to take over every corner of Liverpool this May, including the Philharmonic Hall where the RLPO presents Douze Points! - its own tribute to the song contest’s greatest hits.

Richard Balcombe will conduct the Friday, May 12 concert, with the orchestra joined by vocalists from Capital Voices and presenter Owain Wyn Evans.

Expect a night of power ballads and folk tunes to heavy metal and irresistible Europop, from Waterloo to Boom Bang a Bang and Rise Like a Phoenix to Stefania, all given a unique classical treatment at the hands of the band and singers.

Eurovision glad rags are optional, but just to really get you in the party mood, the ticket price does include a glass of fizz delivered to your seat.

Meanwhile there is a separate but complementary Booze Points! event in the Music Room ahead of the show, where Patrick Gossage from R&H Wines will take people on a tour of some of the ‘Wines of Eurovision’.

Douze Points! is at the Philharmonic Hall on Friday, May 12. Tickets HERE
