MD Creatives looks for THE Voice to win next hit ITV series

Talented Merseyside vocalists are being invited to compete for the chance to appear on the next series of hit ITV talent show The Voice UK.

St Helens-based MD Creatives is holding open mic auditions for soloists, along with duos and trios, in the town this Easter.

And there is also an opportunity for pre-audition coaching at the organisation’s headquarters in Barrow Street.

The Covid-safe auditions will be held at the Citadel on April 6 and April 13.

MD Creatives, whose performers reached the semi-finals of Britain’ Got Talent three times under its previous name MD Productions, is an independent creative and performing arts college.

Current students, known as Creatives, will have the opportunity to act as runners and camera crew behind the scenes at the auditions.

Anyone who wants to audition must be 16 or over on October 1, 2021 and those aged under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Backing tracks should be provided by the performer.

MD Creatives director and founder Miguel Doforo (pictured above) said: “Thanks to our history with Britain’s Got Talent, this amazing opportunity presented itself that we could not say no to.

“It not only gives hidden talent in the city region an opportunity to shine on a national stage with the support and expertise of MD Creatives, but also gives our existing class of students a chance to get hands-on, industry experience in TV production, which will stand them in good stead for when they look for full-time employment in the future.

“With auditions for large shows like this usually taking place down in London, many performers from the city region are often put off from the long distance. It’s great to bring these auditions to St Helens and give local talent the opportunity.”

The Voice UK series 11 will be broadcast on television in 2022.

For more details and to register for an audition on April 6 or 13, email miguel@mdcreatives.co.uk or call 07860 702654.
