Liverpool to host Beyond Monet UK premiere

Liverpool is set to host the UK premiere of a new immersive experience featuring the works of Impressionist icon Claude Monet.

Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience will be staged at Exhibition Centre Liverpool this summer – and it was also revealed today that the hugely successful Beyond Van Gogh will also visit the city for a second run.

The two spectacular shows will run on different days at the waterfront venue from July 15 to August 3.

A special pre-sale for both experiences opens tomorrow, while tickets go on general sale on Monday.

When Beyond Van Gogh was premiered in Liverpool last year it attracted 60,000 visitors. The immersive brings together more than 300 of the Dutch artist’s works and presents them with a specially composed soundtrack.

This year it's been announced there will also be new features within the experience.

Beyond Monet uses similar cutting-edge technology to tell the story of the French ‘Father of Impressionism’ through more than 400 of his works, including Impression: Sunrise – which gave its name to the wider art movement, Poppies and his Water Lilies series of giant canvases painted at his home at Giverny just outside Paris.

Both experiences are produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group.
