Liverpool Empire welcomes Disney's Aladdin for Christmas 2024

Disney’s Aladdin is coming to the Liverpool Empire for Christmas….2024.

The spectacular Broadway and West End musical will visit the Lime Street theatre from December 11 2024 to January 5 2025.

Tickets go on sale next month, with pre-sale to ATG+ members on October 23, pre-sale sign up on October 24 and general sale from October 27.

The visit is part of an inaugural UK and Ireland tour for the smash hit show which launches at the Edinburgh Playhouse this winter.

Aladdin is based on the 1992 animated film and is set in the fictional Arabian city of Agrabah where the poor young hero is granted three wishes by the genie of the lamp, which he uses to woo a princess and to battle the sultan’s evil Grand Vizier.

The musical – which promises magic, comedy and breath-taking spectacle - has a book by Chad Beguelin, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Beguelin, Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

Yeukayi Ashe will play the Genie and newcomer Gavin Adams will make his theatrical debut in the title role.
