Liverpool dates for Jack Thorne vampire hit on 2026 UK tour

International vampire hit Let the Right One In is coming to the Liverpool Everyman in a new touring production of the stage adaptation by writer Jack Thorne.

The acclaimed adaptation of the horror romance will visit the Hope Street theatre from April 14-18 next year as a part of a UK tour.

Thorne’s many stage and screen credits include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, This Is England miniseries ('86, '88 and '90), The Accident, Liverpool Covid drama Help and, most recently, Toxic Town and Adolescence.

Let the Right One In is based on the best-selling Swedish novel and award-winning film by Jon Ajvide Lindqvist and is considered a prime example of Scandi-noir storytelling.

Thorne’s stage adaptation weaves the novel’s chilling horror with a deeply human story of love, loneliness and survival, and Liverpool audiences can expect “a visceral, cinematic experience where the beauty of the original novel and film is reimagined for the stage”.

Directed by Bryony Shanahan, the supernatural thriller explores themes of loneliness, bullying, friendship and the complexities of love.

Thorne says: “It was such a privilege to adapt Let the Right One In. I’m so excited that more people are going to have the opportunity to see Bryony Shanahan's sinewy dangerous production."

The production contains haze, sudden bright lights, strobe lighting, darkness, loud noises, strong language and mature themes, including depictions of blood, violence, death/dead bodies, bullying and alcoholism. It is suitable for ages 14 and over.

Let the Right One In is at the Liverpool Everyman from April 14-18, 2026. Tickets are on sale soon. More details HERE
