Liverpool date for Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle

American superstar comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are heading for Liverpool this September.

The pair will co-headline a date at the M&S Bank Arena on September 1 as part of what is being billed as a ‘historic’ UK tour.

Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am costing £60-£146.55.

With a career spanning more than three decades, Chris Rock has enjoyed ongoing success in both film and television as a comedian, actor, writer, producer, and director.

He recently wrapped production on the upcoming Higher Ground produced biopic Rustin and David O’Russell’s untitled film. He is also set to direct an untitled Chris Rock project in 2023.

Meanwhile Dave Chappelle’s work in stand-up comedy, writing, producing, and acting has earned him more than 30 nominations and awards in television and film including three Grammys and five Emmy Awards.

In 2019 he was awarded the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor from the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Both men have been in the headlines in recent months – Rock when he was slapped by actor Will Smith while the comedian presented an award at the Oscars, and Chapelle for his last Netflix special The Closer where he was accused of mocking gender identity.
