Liverpool 4 Ukraine show raising funds for displaced artists

Venues in the Baltic Triangle are showcasing work from some of the best Ukrainian artists and creatives.

The Liverpool 4 Ukraine exhibition runs until June 18 and hopes to raise much-needed funds for the artists.

A QR code on each work will enable people to buy prints of their favourites.

Work is on show at Space by Liquid, 92 Degrees Coffee, Chapters of Us, Baltic Social, Black Lodge Brewery, Elevator Studios and SEVENSTORE. And the show is being sponsored by Baltic Creative CIC, Gather and Tessuti.

The idea for the exhibition came from photographer John Turton, who has been working with a Ukrainian photographer and decided he wanted to help his displaced friend.

He has collaborated with local design studio Kula and Baltic Triangle area partnership director Jake Nolan to bring the artworks to the city, with the project snowballing from helping one artist to more than 20 who have been affected by the war in Ukraine.

The participating artists include Daniel Kosoy, Alina Prisich, Artem Nadyozhin, Sana Shahmura, Danyil Kotliar, Yulya Frolowa, Genia Volkov, Zhenya Trifonova, Roman Ketlov, Lisa Vlasenko, Yegor Parker, Benedychuk Volodymyr, Daria Svertilova, Kristina Podobed, Roma Moskalenko, Lesha Berezovskiy, Vadim Khudoliy, Vitaliy Galanzha, Yana Konova and Alex Kryzhanovskyi.
