Les Mis returns to the Liverpool Empire in 2022

Smash hit musical Les Mis is returning to the Liverpool Empire as part of a new UK tour.

The multi award-winning stage spectacular will enjoy a 22-show run at the theatre from January 5-22 next year.

The cast will include Dean Chisnall as Jean Valjean, Katie Hall as Fantine and Nic Greenshields as Javert.

The Cameron Macintosh 25th anniversary restaging previously entertained audiences at the Lime Street venue in October 2019 with Greenshields and Hall also part of that company.

Meanwhile Chisnall, who was born in Ormskirk and whose earliest stage performances were in panto in Burscough, has previously played Shrek on the Empire stage.

This current production opened at the Sondheim Theatre in London’s West End in January last year, and it will reopen there in September 2021 following a limited run of The Staged Concert.

The tour will start at Glasgow Theatre Royal in November and then come direct to Liverpool before continuing to major venues in the UK and Dublin.
