Hit musical Hamilton makes Liverpool Empire date

Smash-hit Hamilton is coming to the Liverpool Empire for a five week stay – but fans will have to wait until 2025 to catch the crowd-pleaser.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s acclaimed, multi award-winning sung through hip-hop musical will be at the Lime Street landmark from May 6 to June 7, 2025.

Producers Jeffery Seller and Sir Cameron Mackintosh are behind the inaugural UK tour of the show which has already enjoyed capacity audiences in London for the last five years.

Hamilton is a ‘story of America then, told by America now’ and tells the tale of founding father Alexander Hamilton, with a score blending hip-hop, jazz, R ‘n’ B and Broadway.

The book, music and lyrics are by Miranda while direction comes from Thomas Kail.

A new company for the UK and Ireland tour is being assembled from more than 300 hopefuls.

Hamilton is at the Liverpool Empire from May 6 to June 7, 2025
