Floral Pavilion 2025 spring and summer season
The Floral Pavilion has a packed schedule of shows planned for 2025.
The New Brighton theatre will host a wide range of performances from big comedy names and music stars to touring stage productions and children’s shows at its waterfront site.
The hit stage version of Andrea Dunbar’s comedy Rita, Sue and Bob Too runs from February 26 to March 2 with TV’s Jake Quickenden leading the cast.
Dickens Theatre Company presents Macbeth on March 27-28 with the six-strong cast taking on all the characters in Shakespeare’s bloody ‘Scottish play’.
The audacious, Olivier Award-winning Pride and Prejudice* (*Sort of) comes to the Floral on April 8-12 after enjoying rollicking success in the West End and in the year Jane Austen would have turned 250.
Jonathan Goodwin appears in the one-man show Sherlock Holmes: The Sign of Four in the Blue Lounge on May 10.
And Superintendent Roy Grace returns to the stage in Peter James’ Picture You Dead which is at the theatre from May 20-24.
The venue has a busy programme of live comedy with stars making a date for its main stage including Ben Elton who brings his stand-up show Authentic Stupidity on February 6, Jon Culshaw with Imposter Syndrome on February 21, Al Murray who presents his latest live show Guv Island on March 22, Su Pollard who is Still Fully Charged on March 23, Mothers of the Brides on May 14, Omid Djalili on September 22 and Henning Wehn on September 26.
Meanwhile Justin Moorhouse comes to the Blue Lounge on January 17.
For music fans the new year brings stars including the Tremeloes who head a bill on February 15, Martin Kemp with his Back to the 80s DJ set in the Blue Lounge on March 8, Gareth Gates on March 21 and Nathan Carter on April 3, Newton Faulkner on April 26, Curtis Steigers on May 7, The Drifters on May 18, Nik Kershaw on September 21, Francis Rossi on October 14 and ‘An Evening With’ Britain’s Got Talent’s Tom Ball on October 15.
There are also a host of popular tribute shows to choose from starting with Buble by Candlelight on January 17 and including Michael Jackson tribute Man in the Mirror on February 1, the UK Pink Floyd Experience on February 2, Fastlove tribute to George Michael on February 8, The Jerseys on March 15, Queen of the Night (Whitney Houston) on March 30, The ELO Tribute Show on May 2, Taylormania on May 16, Something About Lennon on May 28 and The Rolling Stones Story on August 16.
And dance enthusiasts should make a date for March 12 when Giovanni Pernice presents The Last Dance, July 15 and 16 with Strictly’s Dianne and Vito Red Hot and Ready! and Rhythm of the Dance on July 29.
The Floral Pavilion is also the stage for a number of ‘evening with’ and ‘audience with’ events which include Jeff Stelling on January 15, Jasper Carrott and Alistair McGowan on February 22, Aled Jones on April 4, Mark and Lard on April 22 and Simon Reeve on May 8.
And there are also several shows for little ones, including Fireman Sam Live on February 20 and The Smartest Giant in Town on April 5-6.
