Editions Gallery show for Crosby artists

Work by a pair of Crosby artists is going on show in a joint exhibition in Liverpool this week.

Alan Joyce and Lynn Fraser will showcase their paintings at Editions Gallery in Cook Street from Friday, April 19.

Their artwork features beachscapes and Liverpool characters respectively, rendered in oils and acrylic.

Joyce studied fine art at Bolton College of Art and at Manchester. He became a jewellery engraver, later combining engraving and painting, and running his own gallery and workshop.

After a three-year hiatus following retirement, he started painting again last year and the result will be on show at the Liverpool city centre gallery.

Meanwhile Fraser studied painting and drawing at night school, and since leaving her job as an office fashion buyer several years ago she has pursued her art, exhibiting in northwest galleries and selling her work worldwide.

Editions Gallery hosts contemporary painting and printing exhibitions at its Cook Street base.

Alan Joyce and Lynn Fraser: Two Painters from Crosby are exhibiting at Editions Gallery from April 19 to May 16.
