Doddy Day spreads happiness at Liverpool's Royal Court

Jam butties at the ready - Doddy Day returns to Liverpool’s Royal Court this month promising audiences some tattyfilarious fun.

The third annual Doddy Day Happiness Show takes place on Sunday, October 30 at 2pm.

Comedy lovers will be tickled by a line up which includes Britain’s Got Talent’s Steve Royle, Sean Styles, Ashleigh Nugent, Pete Price and Sam Avery, with more names to be announced.

Doddy Day was started in 2020 in memory of the late Squire of Knotty Ash, Sir Ken Dodd, and aims to spread a little happiness in his memory.

It is supported by his widow Anne, Lady Dodd, through the Ken Dodd Charitable Foundation which has provided some funding for the event.

She said: “Ken always used to say he was a double act – ‘me and the audience’. And Doddy Day is about that sharing of laughter and happiness.

“Liverpool is a city full of people who like to exercise their chuckle muscles, a place of incredible spirit, and that’s what Doddy Day is celebrating.”
