Dear England gets Liverpool dates on UK tour

James Graham’s award-winning smash-hit play Dear England is heading for Liverpool as part of an inaugural UK tour.
The inspiring (fictionalised) story of Gareth Southgate’s revolutionary tenure as England manager will visit the Liverpool Empire from March 2-7, 2026.
Tickets are yet to go on sale.
It’s time to change the game. The country that gave the world football has since developed a painful pattern of loss.
The England men’s team has the worst track record for penalties in the world, and manager Gareth Southgate knows he needs to open his mind and face up to the years of hurt to take team and country back to the promised land.
The Olivier Award-winning play – a gripping examination of nation and game - was premiered at the National Theatre in ???, and returns to the stage there in March for a ‘home’ game ahead of a series of away fixtures on a tour which kicks off in Plymouth this autumn.
It is directed by Rupert Goold and casting for the tour is yet to be announced.
