Bugsy Malone coming to the Liverpool Empire in 2023

Splurge guns, sarsaparilla and soft shoe shuffles are the order of the day when Bugsy Malone makes a date with the Liverpool Empire next spring.

The touring show will be at the Lime Street theatre from February 6-11. Tickets go on general sale this Thursday, June 23.

Prohibition era New York is a city full of mobsters, showgirls and dreamers, a place where rival gangster bosses Fat Sam and Dandy Dan are at loggerheads and where the custard pies are really flying.

Enter Bugsy Malone, penniless one-time boxer and all round nice guy, who becomes trapped between his new love Blousey Brown and the attentions of the seductive Tallulah as he battles to help Fat Sam save his business.

The entertaining stage musical – coming to Liverpool in a revival of the acclaimed Lyric Hammersmith production - is based on the 1976 Alan Parker-directed film which starred Scott Baio, Jodie Foster and Bonnie Langford.
