Blondie choose Liverpool to launch first UK tour in four years
Blondie are set to kick off their new UK tour in Liverpool in 2021.
Debbie Harry and the legendary New York band will play at the M&S Bank Arena on November 6 at the start of the 10-date Against the Odds tour – their first UK outing in four years.
Tickets cost from £63.45 to £96.75.
Debbie Harry said: “Next year's UK tour is more meaningful to me perhaps than the very first time Blondie played there in the mid '70s.
“The UK has always been a special place to us and being able to come back to perform after sitting out most of 2020 is very exciting.”
Fans can expect an evening of all Blondie’s greatest hits including Heart of Glass, Atomic, Tide is High, Sunday Girl and Rapture, performed alongside songs from the band’s most recent studio album Pollinator.
Punk and New Wave pioneers Blondie were formed in New York in 1974 by Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein and over the last five decades have sold more than 40 million albums worldwide.
The band will be supported on this new tour by Garbage, fronted by Shirley Manson who was invited to induct Blondie into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2006.
