Musical 9 to 5 returns to the Liverpool Empire
Dolly Parton musical 9 to 5 is returning to the Liverpool Empire.
The show, based on the 1980 film of the same name, is currently enjoying a revival in the West End in a new production backed by the Country singing star.
It will then tour the UK, including a week at the Lime Street theatre from October 1-5.
Tickets are now on general sale.
Parton said: "I’m beyond thrilled to the response from across the pond to 9 to 5 the Musical. The overwhelmingly positive fan reaction to this universal story tickles every rhinestone on my body!
“I can't wait for more people throughout the UK and Ireland to enjoy it and sing along."
The musical tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy - three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss.
Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the women manage to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?
Casting for the tour is yet to be announced.
