Elf the musical is bringing some Christmas magic to Liverpool this December.

The heart-warming hit West End and Broadway show based on the Hollywood blockbuster movie starring Will Ferrell, will be supersized in to a festive spectacular with three performances at M&S Bank Arena.

Tickets for the shows on December 7-8 go on sale at 9am today and cost between £37.50-£49.50 for adults and £27.50-£39.50 concessions.

Elf stars comedy actor Tam Ryan as Buddy, while award-winning Coronation Street actress and singer Kym Marsh plays girlfriend, Jovie, and Shaun Williamson (Barry Evans in EastEnders, Extras) is Buddy’s dad Walter Hobbs.

The cast also features Father Christmas and a line-up of 70 performers, including children from local Pauline Quirke Academy stage schools.

The original stage version of Elf played to record breaking audiences at London’s Dominion Theatre and firmly established this heart-warming tale of Buddy the Elf leaving Santa at the North Pole to seek his real father in New York as a Christmas classic.

This Christmas Spectacular production features a book written by Bob Martin and Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers and Hairspray) and an original score of great songs.

The original staging has been enhanced with giant screens, showing both computer graphic backdrops and live action close-ups, and the 5,000-seat arena layout has a 70ft wide stage and a 60ft long thrust stage, with some scenes taking place around and above the audience.

Elf: A Christmas Spectacular is at the M&S Bank Arena on December 7-8. Tickets HERE
