Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale is given the Unity and Action Transport Theatre’s trademark twist this Christmas.

The Jungle Book is the latest in a series of magical seasonal shows from the successful partnership, and under the direction of ATT’s Nina Hajiyianni.

It’s being billed as a “bold and highly theatrical re-telling” of Kipling’s story, with Kevin Dyer’s script looking at the themes of family, belonging, and our affect on the world around us, and comes complete with a musical score composed especially for the production by Angus McLeod.

As usual, a small ensemble will bring the tale to life. This year the international cast includes Joe Shipman, who appeared in Lizzie Nunnery’s Narvik, singer/musician/actor Fionnuala Dorrity, American performer Asif Majid, and Spaniard Sam Perez Duran.

The Jungle Book is at the Unity Theatre from December 1 to January 6. Tickets from the website HERE
